Merge 23: Ball Merge Puzzle
Effective 8 September 2026 · last updated 8 September 2026
Merge 23 is made and published by Merve Uluser, an independent developer based in Türkiye, acting as the data controller for the limited processing described below.
Privacy questions and requests: privacy@merge23.com.
Merge 23 keeps your progress in your phone's ordinary app-preferences
storage, under the keys merge23.best and
merge23.scores. That is:
None of it is sent anywhere. It is not linked to your name, your email, your phone number or any identifier for you — the game never asks for those and has nowhere to put them. It may be included in a device backup that you control (iCloud or Google backup), because that is how your phone treats app storage generally. Deleting Merge 23 removes it.
The game shows two kinds of ad, both from Google AdMob: a banner across the bottom of the screen, and an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to clear the top three orbs and keep a run going. The rewarded video is never forced — nothing plays until you press the button, and you are shown the points it will cost first.
To serve those ads, Google may process:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your device's advertising identifier — IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android | To select ads and to limit how often you see the same one. You can reset or switch it off in your device settings. |
| IP address, and the approximate region derived from it | To serve ads relevant to your country and to apply the right privacy rules for it. |
| Device and app information — model, operating system version, language, the fact that the app is Merge 23 | To pick an ad that fits the screen and the audience. |
| Ad interactions — that an ad was shown, viewed or tapped | To measure and bill the advertising, and to detect fraud. |
Merge 23 does not ask for location permission, so no GPS or precise location is available to the game or to its ads. How Google handles the data above is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks on first launch whether Google may use your data for personalised ads. You can say no and keep playing — you will see non-personalised ads instead, chosen from your rough region rather than any profile. You can change that answer at any time: open About in the game and tap Ad privacy.
On iOS you will also see Apple's own tracking prompt. Declining it means the game never receives your IDFA, and ads become non-personalised. Both prompts are independent of each other, and declining either one has no effect on the game itself.
The game's lettering is loaded from Google Fonts the first time you run it and then cached on the device. That request tells Google's font service your IP address, as any web request does. It happens once and the game plays normally without it.
Merge 23 is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, write to privacy@merge23.com and it will be removed.
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data.
In practice: we hold no store of user data to search, so there is nothing for us to look up, export or delete on your behalf — your scores are on your own device, and you can erase them by deleting the app. Requests about advertising data, which Google holds rather than us, should go to Google through the links above; write to us as well and we will help where we can. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority — the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (KVKK) in Türkiye, or your national authority in the EEA or UK.
Because Google serves the advertising, the data described under Advertising may be processed on Google servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in Google's own privacy terms. The game itself transfers nothing.
If the game's data handling changes — a new store leaderboard, an in-app purchase, anything at all — this page is updated before that version ships, and the date at the top changes with it.
